Our Founder: Jesudasan Vincen Francis

Our founder, Jesudasan Vincen Francis, is an exceptional individual with an inspiring life story. Born in the eastern part of Sri Lanka, in Trincomalee, he survived one of the worst natural disasters, the Tsunami, by finding shelter with a German family. This experience connected him to Germany, where he was later invited to study psychology.

During his studies in Germany, Jesudasan Vincen Francis found support from German friends and his wife to help underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Driven by his heart and vision, he founded the People Helping People Foundation in 2010 and the organization STEPS of Forgiveness e.V. in August of the same year, together with friends both in Germany and Sri Lanka.

Through the grace of God and the generous support of friends, Jesudasan Vincen Francis was able to establish educational projects across Sri Lanka step by step. His deep-rooted belief in the importance of education propels him to provide children in need with the same opportunities he himself received.

Experiences from his childhood, marked by civil war and a desire for a peaceful home, have inspired Jesudasan Vincen Francis to advocate for reconciliation and peace. His life experience, combined with his psychology studies in Germany, as well as the support of his loving family and friends, help him make his dreams of a more peaceful future for the people of Sri Lanka a reality.
