Bringing Hope: Support for Needy Widows and Families in Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, there are many needy widows and families who have lost their spouses or even their children due to natural disasters such as the tsunami or the civil war. These people face significant challenges as they often have to care for themselves and their families alone, without adequate resources or support. Many of them have lost hope for a better future and struggle daily to survive.

To help these people and support them, we have already assisted several families in recent years by helping them become self-sufficient and generate their own income. We have supported widows and families in opening small food stalls, kiosks, or grocery stores where they can sell homemade food and other items. Through these efforts, they have been able to provide for themselves and their families and regain hope for a better future.

We firmly believe that every person has the right to live with dignity and to provide for themselves and their families. Therefore, we call on you to extend a helping hand to these needy widows and families. You can help by supporting families with needed materials such as food in larger quantities or providing a start-up capital. Additionally, there is the opportunity to provide financial support to build a small shop, building, or space that is protected from future disasters.
